NITCO MARBLE
Stone, chosen slowly.
I — Origin
Every slab is selected at source. Makrana. Carrara. Rajasthan. The Alps.
Selected at the quarry face — rejected more often than accepted. What survives becomes one of the largest marble libraries in India, held at Silvassa: Makrana to Statuario, Rosso Levanto to Verde Alpi, catalogued block by numbered block.
II — The Atelier
What the mountain begins, Silvassa finishes.
India's most advanced marble processing plant. Each slab is made twice — once by the mountain, once by us.
Bound before it is cut
Italian fibre, three sides, set in epoxy.
48 hrs
Sawn on BM gangsaws
Where the trade accepts two to three mm.
± 0.77 mm
Dried in a kiln
The only marble in India, heated until its pores open.
2 hrs
Filled under vacuum
Italian Tenax epoxy, drawn into every crack.
Tenax
Polished under UV
The only UV-resin polish in the country.
Gloss 100+
This is why NITCO marble does not weep, does not chip, does not dull.
Selected slab by slab. Two hundred cut, six taken.
III — Residence
Where the stone comes to rest.
Marble, lived in — not installed. Photographed across the courtyards and coasts of India.

IV — The Collection
